Amoroto - Population

The municipal territory of Amoroto has an area of 13,4km², and a population of 409 people (19,3 % of the population of the Lea Valley).

As in the rest of the towns in the valley, Amoroto´s population decreased dramatically in the 70s. Due to the scarcity of jobs, the local youth had to head for the surrounding industrialised cities. Today, they show a tendency to stay in Amoroto.
